Hi there! I am a 36 year-old girl who loves reading and telling stories. My name is Luisa.
Truth be told, I have ignored this inner urge to write for a few years. But after so many changes in life, I’ve decided not to fight back. This is my first attempt to turn thoughts into words. Welcome to MORNING SUNSHINE!
To begin with, Portuguese is my mother tongue and English is my working tool and passion. I currently live in Braga: my peaceful, green and friendly town of choice.
I am an English teacher, translator and content writer. As a matter of fact, I could have been a psychologist, a journalist or some kind of mediator – I can’t help observing people’s behaviors and attitudes. I always tend to remember that there are two sides to every story and then, there is the truth so, at this stage, impartiality is my motto.
I am CRAZY ABOUT animals because of their never-ending loyalty and I really enjoy travelling because of its mind opening power. I think everyone should be entitled to live, at least, 1 more life. If I had another one I would certainly move every two years with a pack of 3 funny doggies.

I truly believe happiness is an inside job and doing good to others is not an option, but a responsibility. I come from a religious family who taught me serving God necessarily happens through serving others.
A few words that PUSH ME FORWARD: hard work, endurance, justice, honesty and kindness. A few lessons learned: moderation is key; learning from others is a virtue; doing your best is always worth it; negativity is contagious; determination and stubbornness are not the same; family isn’t always blood and life is too short to be taken so seriously.
As for LOVE, I’ve grown to understand that it’s an everyday decision. It has nothing to do with magic. It’s built with dialog and respect when a couple is not willing to give up. It takes a whole lot of effort. Sometimes I wish there was a spell for seeing eye to eye with people. Maybe resilience is the answer to a successful relationship.

My STRENGTHS: I am adaptable to different environments, patient with young children, supportive of my friends and family, reasonable in extreme situations, trustworthy with confidential information and hard-working when it comes to work. My weaknesses: I don’t take criticism well and, (surprise!), I can be too judgmental sometimes. I don’t like conflicts and I clearly avoid them at all costs. I am not that super organized kind of person – I find order in my disorder and I allow my emotions to show every now and then, when I shouldn’t.
My PLANS for the future include finding complete satisfaction in my job (is that possible?). I would love to run my own business, use my skills to the fullest and be recognized for it. Therefore, I’ve been working on a few projects and looking forward to a good turn in the next 5 years.
If you’re reading my blog, it means you either know me or you’re looking for something interesting. I hope you find and enjoy it. Now that I have introduced myself, I’ll leave you a quote that summarizes my recent writing spree. See you soon!
